Information Evening - South Australia - Wednesday 26th October 2011. It is with great pleasure that the Picture Framers Guild of Australia invites you and the Picture Framing Industry to attend this very informative and interesting presentation in regards to the development of framing and restoration techniques. John Payne is one of Australia’s foremost conservators and authorities on the development of mouldings and frames used in picture framing from their inception in Europe in 1500 until the present day. John was the guest speaker at the PFGA's 2011 Annual Conference. His presentation on that occasion was most informative and extremely well received. John Payne has written many articles on Picture Framing including his highly accredited book, "Framing the Nineteenth Century: Picture Frames, 1837-1935". Click this link for more information.
Peter Dziedzichad - We are saddened to hear that Peter Dziedzichad of Triart Australia passed away on Saturday 17th September 2011. He has been with Triart forever and was well known to most of the industry. Needless to say this has been a huge shock for the Triart team. The President and Members of the Picture Framers Guild of Australia extend sincere sympathies to Elizabeth, family and work colleagues at Triart Australia on the sad passing of Peter. Peter’s contribution and devotion to the picture framing industry will always be appreciated.
